Exfoliated vermiculite

The exfoliated vermiculite is a loose, porous material in the form of scaly particles having a high fire resistance, low density, low thermal conductivity, chemical and biological inertness in contact with aggressive media. It is characterized by high absorption properties, environmentally friendly. A furnace for exfoliation of the vermiculite has been created and developed by specialists of the Global Mineral Group.

The main property of the vermiculite in determining its commercial value is the ability to dramatically increase its volume by burning out in the temperature 400-1000 С. The vermiculite expands its volumetric bulk weight (density) and grain composition (fraction). The volumetric bulk density depends on a grain composition, a degree of enrichment of crude vermiculite, a temperature
and duration of burning out, a form of grains, etc.
